Tarzan..OBC Recording..boring????

Heya.....just wondered does anyone else think that this recording is extremely boring....i found the songs dull and uninspired..the songs taken from the film stand out as being the betters ones...the new material is well.....boring. I didnt really think much of the voices either... any way..just wondered wot other people thought!

and i was unlucky enough to see this show and its awfull,but the tourists will keep it ope

I've already heard alot of the reactions on the broadwayboard...just wondering wot us west enders thought of it...If you havent heard any of the recording...you're not missin anything...opening number..Son of Man,,is quite good...other than that....I know its a broadway show..but i collect all cast recordings...its quite a major realease so was just trying to gauge different reactions!

Pretty awful, but then I thought the film score wasn't that good to start with. I'm hoping this is one show that doesn't cross the pond any time soon...

The new songs must be really awful then because the original songs in the movie were already horrible!!!

The best song ("You'll Be In My Heart", not very good to begin with) was ruined the moment someone got the 'brilliant' idea of letting Phil Collins sing it on the film. Glenn Close may not be the best singer in the world, but she sure is better than PC.
