Undiscovered, you reminded me: I forgot the polka dot tie!
Noday, I don't think I can even explain. The scene made ZERO sense. If you've ever seen Moulin Rouge, you know that scene where they're performing the play to trick that guy? (I know, very specific.) Anyway, it's really fast-paced and confusing. This scene (Nicholi's Gospel Bus Revival) was a bit like that... but like a cartoon combined with a hallucination.

'Imagine that movie followed by alcoholic drinks; that'd be trip.'
You would've jumped off the Empire State Building, thinking you can fly!
Undiscovered, I repeated everthing you said, so that I could make some sense out of it... on the bus. People gave me VERY funny looks. The 'bow tie' made me jump though, don't know why

Posted: 9/28/04 at 5:31pmThanks to everyone for the great reviews, I really enjoyed reading them. I have been wondering for soooo long now what this movie was actually like, and now at least I have a "little" better idea. Still seems very confusing and out-there, I will definetley have to check it out if it is released on DVD!!!

Thanks so much, both of you.
Really, what was this about? I have no idea what the plot is. But I get the feeling drugs were involved in its creation.

Weeeeeeee! Pictures. Those things are years old, but they're 298409384309 times funnier now that I've seen the movie.
Insomniak, there's a guy named Billy who wants to be a big star. He lives with his girlfriend, Annie. Apparently there's some animosity between Pablo, who owns a club where Annie and some other people perform, and Nicholi who hangs out in some alternate universe with Sabrina. Nicholi picks the purest people he can find, and tries to get them to make deals with him. He finds Annie, who says that she'd do anything to see Billy succeed. Nicholi agrees, but says that if Annie ever even thinks "After all I've done for you," Nicholi may steal a part of her soul. So Billy's success skyrockets and he abandons Annie. Nicholi catches her thinking that "forbidden phrase," and steals her singing voice. Matt, who's been in love with her for a while helps to get it back. That's the basic storyline. There's some other really whacko stuff intertwined.

Thanks, Emcee. Aren't those pics from the official site? I've seen them before.
I keep forgetting to ask- what about this seduction scene involving Adam? Is it implied or actual?

Yeah, those are the ones from the site. They're just funnier now!
Which scene are you talking about?

Wow. I'm sad I missed this
. Sounds like it really was a trip. QM - I thought you were going to be there!! I was looking forward to stories of you mimicking all the "movements".
Thanks for the attempt to tell us about it, guys. Didn't make an ounce of sense
, but it was entertaining nonetheless. But I knew how bad it had to be -- last night everyone I asked about it was practically speechless.

LOL! Amasis, you KNOW she's going to imitate all of the movements.
And it wasn't supposed to make sense!

Which is exactly why it needs to be released on DVD.
As for the remarkable cast/terrible project thing, I have to think that they had NO idea how it was going to turn out when they signed on. Obviously, they had to get the idea it was going to be pretty bad after awhile, but like THAT? Doubtful. It's sad too, because that was SUCH an awesome cast. They're probably going to be scarred from doing anything remotely similar ever again in their lives.

I just wanted to thank you all for posting this so many years ago! You all have helped me in my research on this project. I contacted the producer and he told me the reason the film wasn't released was because they felt the product was unfinished. They've been working on it for a long time and now hope to release it soon!!! This is insanity. But I'm excited to see how this goes. If it's bad I hope I can at least laugh and have a good time.
