Mr. Martin:
This post is being written as a special thank you for your years of teaching. I hope you find this post, it would be very heart-warming.
This evening was our Theatre Senior Awards celebration, and I was the proud winner of the "Broadway Nerd" award. I won this award, mainly, because I visit this wonderful website, BroadwayWorld.com, often.
(I won the award because I knew about such Broadway shows as Ben & Matt, Urinetown, Bat Boy, Henry IV, and others. I was first to share news of show's openings and closing and other special events. I wear one of my 18 different Broadway shirts at least twice a week, and also listen to a Cast Recording during lunch, if not rehearsing or doing a line study or talking about theatre.)
As I left the ceremnony, choking to hold back tears of this wonderful night, I heard someone yell "Fine, go off to your BroadwayWorld message boards." I do not know who said it, but I am also posting this now because of you.
To Matt: Good luck at NYU, as Mr. Martin said, I knew you would get in.
To Ben: You have guts. It may not have worked liked you had wanted it to, but it did work out. You have a passion for theatre, and I cannot believe you don't know what you want to do. Ben, go with theatre.
To Holly: You have done EVERYTHING. Audience member, director, assistant director, stage manager, actress, light board operator, props mistress, house manager, box office, usher, asstistant stage manager, sound operator, and more. Goddess of the theatre, I am not worthy.
To Evelyn: "Oh the thinks you can think!"
To the Class of '04: we are very lucky to have gotten into this school. We are just as lucky to have such great leaders: Mr. Martin, Mr. Graves, and Mr. Deter. How can we go on without them? I cannot - I shall be back to visit often. I hope you all enjoyed our years together as much as I.
"I'll be there for you."

Congrats on your "Broadway Nerd" award. I think it's cool. Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS You could be a lot worse, like "Broadway Bitch." Ring any bells, anyone?
