The "I Miss 'Boy Meets World'" Thread

The

Not gonna lie.

Whenever they run re-runs on ABC Family...I get that warm fuzzy inside.

They just don't make shows like they used to.

I always wished I would have a teacher like Mr. Feeny.

Their Halloween episode is one of my favourites. Though I never watch the show...

I loved this show! Despite some rather gooey moments with Shawn and his dad and all, it was a really funny show.

It's on the Family Channel on Saturdays, too. I just watched the episode where Eric stars in Romeo and Juliet and gets great reviews. Then a guy from ABC offers him a job as Derek on "Kid Gets Acquainted with Universe", starring Ben Sandwich as Rory, and Schneider something as Shane. :)

Good show, good show. I loved Matt Lawrence on the older episodes. And Danielle Fischel (sp) grew up to be a very attractive woman!

It was a good show. Very silly, but entertaining. I didn't start watching it until about 3 weeks after it ended. It was on ALL the time at that point.

GREAT show. I loved it. I think I've seen every episode multiple times, though I did like the early ones better.

My favorite episode is "Shallow Boy"

with Corrina, Eric's crazy guitar playing girlfriend.

"You're shallow, you're shallow, look at that shallow boy."

"he's a loser freak, loser freak, hes a maladgusted-loser-freak, hes a woman-hating-maladjusted-loser-freak... and he doesn't like girls, 'cause hes afraid of them, afraid of them. I think he likes boys, if you know what i'm sayin'!"

I also love the episode where Shawn dresses up like "Veronica" and Cory ends up dressing like a waitress- and says my favorite BMW quote ever: "My hosiery is bunching!"
"Zac is sweet as can be. He's very much just a sweet kid from California who happens to have a face that looks like it was drawn by Michelangelo, (if Michelangelo did anime)."
-Adam Shankman.

"I haven't left this building since Windows 3.1!"

"Celebrating a birthday this week: Rene Descartes is 412! Do you know who he is? Then why are you watching this show? You could probably get into college and even get one of those job things. As for the rest of us; Amanda Bynes is 22! Yay!"

LOVE Boy Meets World. I still watch it at 2 am if I'm up doing work. I miss TGIF on ABC, too. This generation of kids is missing out. I'd probably still be watching it.

I defy anyone to watch the final episode without choking up at the end when Rider talks to Feeny.

The show actually had a lot of moments of great writing - the episode where Topanga breaks up with Cory for going out with the girl from the ski lodge; the hospital episode when the new baby is on life support, the cult episode, the one where Fred guest starred and hit on Topanga... etc etc

god, how I love this show. out of the 80's family sit-coms, this was by far and wide the best.

And Craig, no matter how many times I watch the final episode, I always tear when The kids leave, and Mr. Feeny finally says "I love you. all" awwww. love it.

I loved this show too. Between TGIF and reruns I have seen every episode.

I wish they made shows like this still, I mean EVERYONE liked it, kids, adults, men and women. Those were the days

Oh, I also really love the line where Cory and Shawn go "we miss Topangela!"

I still tear up a little bit watching the last episode. So so good.

I agree, Mateo. The "Shallow Boy" episode was fantastic. I went around for a week after I first saw it singing that song.

Ben Savage went to the college that I currently attend, and he was a member of the Sigma Chi frat. I actually ran into him earlier this year at a Sigma Chi party that was thrown sometime around homecoming weekend. Needless to say, he doesn't have the most flattering stories surrounding his reputation, but I still couldn't help but get a little girlishly excited because, hey, it's freakin Cory Matthews!

I lovewhe nEric sits in a rope all day eating coco puffs refusing to get a job, and he imagines himself as a James Bond character and he comes up with his own theme song:

"When a crime breaks out, all the cute girls shout 'get the good-looking guy!' If there's a crime out there, he's gonna comb his hair, cause he's the good-looking guy!"

I love the episodes when Corey time-travels to the 1950's and it's not what her expects, and the one where he gets transported to World War 2. Awww....

re: The 'I Miss 'Boy Meets World' Thread

I think BMW is one of the few great sitcoms for families, it's one of the few I actually really like.

I love every episode where Eric shouts "MR. FEENY!" it's always funny, cause it's always done differently every time.
