It's been a long time since I've seen ANY shows (last one was Spiderman in October) and I think it's time for me to see a show again. My TDF subscription should be expiring soon, and I only used it to see 1 show last year. Can any of you suggest shows worth seeing from the 9 dollar Off-Off Broadway shows?
OK, if they can't find real producers to invest in this show, what makes these people think they're going to be able to find audiences that are willing to shell out 100+ dollars for this show? Don't get me wrong--I love Godspell and I was REALLY excited for this to open a few years ago... but come on, the horse is dead and they just keep on kicking it...
Hi all, I was just reading about the title of show cast and it reminded me about their performance at the BCEFA Gypsy of the Year awards--and I cannot find the video anywhere online anymore. Does anyone know if it's posted anywhere online? Such a great performance--just wanted to watch it again. Thanks in advance!
I saw her live on this tour as well--and I thought it was kind of overrated. I mean, my expectations were WAY too high--people were telling me it was like... going to change my life or whatever. People thought it was so amazing. It was a good tour, but I think I was more blown away by Regina Spektor sitting at her piano for an hour and a half in the tiny Bowery Ballroom.
Yeah, I was a little upset with the gay stereotype in the video. I do like this song though... guilty pleasure. The gay in the video gets like 5 seconds of screen time. It should have been more about the people who were being bullied/made fun of than about Taylor getting tied to train tracks.
I know it's been discussed before--and she played the Emcee (I'm still kicking myself for not seeing her)--but I just discovered this video of her singing "Don't Tell Mama" on YouTube. I think she would be a great Sally. What do you guys think?
As different (and as kinda trashy) as the 2001 touring production was, I kind of enjoyed it... the finale--Jesus' voice is AMAZING! GIves me goosebumps everytime he hits "Oh God, I'm dyyyyiiiing!" Really clear and powerful voice. ...make sure you NEVER look at a picture of that actor as Jesus though--holy gay. Jesus would NOT be happy.
This made me very happy. Finally time this was exposed! ...as if anyone believed she was giving her honest answers in the 3 interviews she's done in the last 5 years anyway...
Good for Diana! She deserves to be successful. Haven't seen her in 9 to 5, but she has a really incredible voice--check out her work from Brooklyn (on YouTube).
