Rock of Ages!! Naturally.
Can someone give me real reasons to skip out on Shrek? I really dislike the movies with a passion, but Christopher Sieber's performance on Regis and Kelly had me thinking that it can't be so bad. But, I'm thinking he's the only reason I'd want to see it.
I'm just trying to figure out what to see on my 4 day trip in June. I still have Saturday evening to fill, and I'm on a limited budget. So, preferably something with an easy lotto or rush for me. If that fails, then I'll try TKTS. I was thinking of either Guys and Dolls or Next to Normal.
I already have tickets for In the Heights, West Side Story, The Wiz, and Avenue Q.

I'm looking for a good show to see next week with my mom or dad. It has to be cheap (tickets <$40) and GOOD. I also can't rush or lotto. Here's what I was considering:
August: Osage County ($35 on TDF)
PROS: Love the play, never seen it on Broadway. Last chance. Cheap.
CONS: Is the cast still good besides Rashad and Morton?
Hair (last row - $37+fees)
PROS: Acclaimed.
CONS: Expensive. Don't like the show as a show. Bad seats.
OR I could wait for Next to Normal to pop up on TDF for next week. Right now I'm leaning towards pulling the trigger on August. Is there a good chance N2N will be back on for a weeknight next week?
^I don't know about N2N on TDF...It may be, it may not be. The rear-mezz seats really are a good deal and the theater is small.
I'd say go for August, myself. Especially if you have never seen it. The material itself is enough for a viewing. While I haven't seen it with Rashad, I did go in expecting to hate it (I saw it on insistence of a friend) and I loved it. Hair isn't going anywhere soon and August is.
