The autograph wall...

Out of curiousity, does anyone know what will happen to it after Rent closes? (and I'm referring to the actual celebrity one, not the scribbled on front of the theatre...)
"It means nothing to come and sit in a theater night after night and immerse yourself in fantasy, only then to walk out the door and be unchanged in reality. This show will live on in our hearts. But where it truly must survive is in our actions, our compassion and our generousity of spirit towards one another." - Adam Pascal on the closing of RENT

It will be burned to the ground while we all dance around it and chant

re: The autograph wall...

If they renovate, I could imagine them painting over or removing the wall.

LadyR: That's what I was thinking too. I hope they wouldn't just paint over it. Even taking Rent out of the picture, that's still a really cool wall.

Well, I never saw rent, but I'm sure they wouldn't just paint over it, but maybe make it like a memorial type thing. If anyone has pictures, feel free to post!

re: The autograph wall...

They should auction it off and give the proceeds to BC/EFA.

That's what I was thinking, too.

re: The autograph wall...

I do. I have a few friends in the cast, and they took me to see it when I was out there last summer.

But everytime I try and post a picture it doesnt show up now...any ideas?
Now all I see are cute boys with short haircuts in a maze of their own...

Put the url of the picture in the little box that says optional image...

Try to follow the rules, or don't bother posting.

IAMmyown, If it's a picture on your computer, I believe it's necessary to host it on a site like ImageShack and use their URL (the last one in their case) in order for it to show up here.

Brilliant idea.

re: The autograph wall...

ok, well italianpride has nothing to do the anything, i mean we have the mob to take care of things... so calling someone out is really nothing. I'm tired of some guy belittling the people on here. Who died and made him king of the message board?

and yes I agree, auctioning it off and donating the proceeds would be awesome.

re: The autograph wall...

Im a big fan of the auctioning the wall off idea. That'd be a huge success.

Im not exactly sure why people fight over here and throw mean comments towards eachother. I mean were all part of this site because we all share the same love for broadway. No one person rules these message boards...

Whiner.

If you don't like it, leave.

re: The autograph wall...

I was assuming that some or all of it would one day end up in the Broadway Museum. It would make an awesome entrance hall.

re: The autograph wall...

I could see this being up for auction. But how would they do it?

Imagine the stuff that's gonna end up at the live auction this year at the Flea Market.

I happen to kinda like Liverpool's sarcasm, even when it is directed at me. I took no offense from the remark. Just laughter. It was funny :)

And I will now be the 525,600th person to "second" the auction idea (while at the same time being the 525,600th person to use that number in a pun since the closing news broke)
