I saw the show when Ann took over, and I, too, thought she was doing a Gwen Verdon imitation. I didn't like her performance or the show itself.

i think Coleman scores often get overlooked for some reason...too jazzy?!?!? i like CHARITY, i like BARNUM, i like WILL ROGERS, i love CITY OF ANGELS. i wish i could have seen Debbie Allen in it, i agree her work as Anita on the WSS tour was very very good.

As for Reinking, i think she's talented and dedicated. i tend to enjoy her early movie roles more than her stage work, but then again, i never saw her in her performance prime, either.

Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys. "I guarantee that we'll have tough times.
