Who'd'a thought that it's 5:25, I'm pooped & I have this flurry of posts!

To get myself a little boost as it were: I went to Fred Barton's website (as I am often want to do to get a boost) & clicked on "I'm the Queen & You're Not" fr 2 Svengalis & found myself laughing & guffawing outloud. So, I'm going to see the show tonight at DTM!

Here's the link to his website w/the songs.

I'm so glad someone posted about this! I wondered how people liked it. (I've E-mailed Fred Barton a few times, and I hear the CD for Svengalis is already in the works.)

I've been following Toni DiBuono's career since she did "Mathnet" on PBS, and have been trying to get people to wake up to her talent. Seriously, people have been missing out!

I've been working on a little Fansite for her that a friend of mine started, and we would love to hear what Fans think. One day I'd actually love to meet Ms. DiBuono and hear what she has to say (or sing), because she's one "Diva" the Theatre World has long overlooked! :@ )

If anyone out there sees the show, please share your thoughts!

The show is very witty, clever & filled with interesting melodies. Needless to say, Toni did an incredible job of "I'm the Queen & You're Not!" & what can I say about Fred Barton, except that I love this guy & his prodigious talent!

The last 2 dates are next Thurs. & Fri. April 29 at 9PM, and Friday April 30 at 6:30 PM -- Don't Tell Mama Reservations 212-757-078re: re: The 2 Svengalis. Variety hailed its "intriguing book, two fascinating characters, rapier-sharp words and a score that ranges from torchy ballads to lilting swing, with a healthy dose of Broadway brass.... Its offbeat quality is sure to appeal to sophisticated theatre crowds in intimate houses."

Goooooo!

Well, I'm glad to hear it's good. If I didn't live all the way in Seattle, I would definitely go! *POUTS* Here's hoping they'll extend performances into the future, so if I do get to NYC again one day, I can see it. Or, I could settle for the CD I guess.

Was there at least a nice crowd? I just hope they're bringing in a lot of patrons! (Or as much as a Cabaret venue can hold.) Hopefully there will be some reviews posted out there sometime soon as well.

Thanks again for the reply!
