I thought this "bit of journalism" was very well done....
At least I laughed....that was the point of the whole thing, right?
It's not a Playbill interview. Other than one factual error, it's rather innocuous and amusing.
The interview was funny. But you know what's funnier?
This thread.

I particularly dug the schoolmarm who's gonna explain the thing again and again until the WHOLE CLASS understands that she gets it!
The only problem i have with the interview is that the interveiwer could of done a better job at doing her research on the show. the landlady thing is way off. you would of think someone would of caught that at newsweek. the rest of the interview i felt was fun and not ment to be taken seriously. Patti herself seemed to have fun with it.
I have to ask, though:
"Are you terrified of getting a cold?"
What the f**k does that have to do with ANYTHING?!
Yeah, I have to agree with the Tiger Beat comparison. Newsweek, however far it has fallen, still doesn't routinely have humor like that, so it just seems really out of place and falls flat.
Some parts are humorous (the band parts), but asking if she un-does the knitting every night is just out in left field.

What a f*cking disgrace
News as entertainment. We're already halfway down that slippery slope.

Wow. This is the stupidest interview I've read PERIOD!
I thought the knitting thing was funny!
And a lot of professional singers are pretty worried about getting colds, in fact.
