"Cabaret," "Merrily We Roll Along, "Sunday in the Park with George," "Taboo," "The Normal Heart," etc. etc.--there is little this man cannot do. A friend who is a Sondheim afficionado thought that his performances in "Sunday" and "Merrily" were the best he had seen of those roles. Didn't know he was going to be in "Brooklyn," but now that I do, I will be online the first day of sales (when IS this, by the way?). He may have lost the Tony this year, but there is one (or maybe more) in his future.

I saw Raul at Embrace, the Matthew Shepard Benefit and the William Finn review. He was the highlight of those evenings. After Taboo I was definitely going through withdrawal!
I thought it was cool when he hopped on stage at Euan's show at Joe's Pub over Memorial Day. I just knew he would show up, especially being just next door.
