I am surprised and gratified that this thread has generated so much comment. There seem to be as many fans of the film as there are detractors. As for the comment that STAR was 20th Century Fox's answer to FUNNY GIRL which came out around the same time, coupled with those posters that feel that STAR's non musical moments are boring, could not the same thing be said about FUNNY GIRL? All scenes involving the comatose Omar Shariff are boring beyond belief, to me. Each to his own.
