I saw this show in its pre-Bway run in Philly. According to the IBD, it ran on Broadway for a total of 14 performances (Jan 22, 1981 to Feb 8, 1981). Did anyone see it on Broadway? Know anything about it? Why did it flop on Broadway? Interestingly, Dee Hoty made her debut in the show.

I saw it with my Mom and Grandmother and even though it was over 20 years ago I remember that we really enjoyed it. Why it did not last longer I do not remember anything in particular that would have caused the show to fail...

Thanks. I still have the Playbill and wonder if the show is worth reviving, even on a community theater level.

Anyway, glad to know that I'm not alone in my memories of "Girl."
