Not that strange at all, when you look at what cronenberg was trying to say with his film, apart from being extra gory, it's obviously a metaphor. Croneberg uses extremely grotesque images in an extremely Brechtian way, so I can see how it could be wondefully suited for the stage, and as an opera, there is so much to be done with it.

Very excited about this one.
