Hi, I am reading through my frogs cd. I thought Nathan wrote the lyrics to Ariadne? but it doesn't give him a credit here on the cd anywhere?

Can anyone enlighten me??

Nathan did not write the lyrics to Ariadne. It was based on a process that Sondheim often uses, where he has conversations with people in the cast and the creative team. He will then go off and write a song based on conversations about their personal feelings etc. That's what happened with Ariadne and it is what happened with 'Beautiful' in Sunday in the Park with George. So, in a way, Lane and Patinkin could be credited for the songs, but it was Sondheim who wrote them!
