Stop worrying if your vision is new. Let others make that decision- They usually do. You keep moving on. Anything you do, Let it come from you. Then it will be new. Give us more to see... ~Sunday In the Park with George

I would say go for it if you want to pay thousands of dollars a year to perform in shows. You could do it ALOT cheaper in community or summer stock theater. I know several people who went there and all they really learned to do was perform in shows. I mean not even how to act or sing, but just get up on stage and do a show. Maybe things have changed over the last few years, but I think you might want to really think about a degree in musical theater from a GOOD school that actually focuses on teaching technique and style. Just my opinion.

Theater anywhere, anytime and with anyone. It's my passion.

I am a graduate of the Hartt School but when I was there it was known as the Hartt School of Music and did not have a theater or dance major. When I attended, it was very competitive and very difficult to gain admittance. I wanted to do more than perform at the time. I wanted a well rounded education and the chance to meet people outside of the music program. I did just that and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Voice and Music Management. I've worked in the performing arts industry ever since and continue to perform on the side.

I had a great 4 years there but I do sense that things have changed and that it doesn't rank up there with the top conservatories (as it did when I attended) anymore.

And yes it is quite pricy but if you are really good they may give you a talent scholarship (I got one way back when). Good luck.

I have a friend that is a current student there and all I hear are positive things from her, she seems to love it there. I would say go for it.
