The History Boys movie showings

I know it's only a limited release, but is this only playing in NY and San Francisco (those are the only cities I can find that are playing it)? Also, will there be a wide release?

I'd imagine a lot of it will depend on what kind of reviews it gets. It's scheduled for my local independent theatre for the end of December.
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

David Edelstein at New York Magazine loved it. I realize he's not that influential, but I loved his work while he was at Slate, so I'm really happy about this. (I'm less pleased with his review of The Fountain, but you can't have it all.)

I'll have to check the Edelstein reiview(s) out. I'm not crazy about the changes they've made to the screenplay (the choppiness), but we shall see.

I'm looking forward to seeing The Fountain later this week too. A lot of the reviews have been pretty iffy (and it does seem like Aronofsky may have bitten off more than he can chew here, what with its century/genre jumping) but it looks visually stunning and I do so enjoy Hugh and Rachel!

I have preview tickets to Wednesday night's preview in Toronto...as well as a few posters. I am super-excited.

Haven't read it yet, but someone on ATC posted the NYT review.

Stephen Holden called it "ferociously engaging," so I think he likes it!

I was actually gonna ask you when I saw you today if you wanted to go with me, but I was in drafting-land :). And either way she seemed to have a crapload of extra passes.
