I was in Louisville last week, for the first time in years, and I loved it. I hadn't realized what a vibrant cultural city it has become. Everywhere you go, you're surrounded by great architecture and artwork, and there are a number of great theaters, there. You throw in the science museum, the horse racing, the glass blowing place, the Louisville Slugger museum...the bourbon...it's offers the best of city life with that laid back southern style.
And, I had one of the best meals of my life at Lynn's Paradise Cafe. Either of you Louisvillians been there?
You have every right to be proud of your city. I'd move there in a heartbeat.

Posted: 12/11/05 at 9:40pmI have family in Louisville but have never actually been there during the Festival. I'm super jealous of people who get to go. I almost went last year but had money issues. For those who go, let us all know about the shows.

birdlives, I have been to Lynn's and it is a very unique place. If you like true Italian food (not the Olive Garden stuff) try Porcini on Frankfort Avenue the next time your in town. Glad you enjoyed your time in Louisville. I couldn't agree more with you're assessment of our city.
timmetzner, I usually attend most all of the Humana plays. I'll be sure to post reviews. Hope you can make the festival this year.
