Hi all. Has anyone seen The King and I at Lincoln Center? If so, is there a stage door the actors come out of? I plan on seeing it in May when Daniel Dae Kim joins the cast. Thanks!

I think actually lots of people have seen it; it's been running for just about a year now.

The theater the show is at has a beautiful, indoor stagedoor. There's a ramp with a divider and the performers will come on the opposite side of the divider. One of my favorite stagedoor environments on Broadway.

Yes, if you exit downstairs where the box office is, take a left, then head towards the Mitzi Newhouse theater. As you are walking down the hallway, exit the glass doors to the right. Take a left and there's a stage door before you get the street. There's a railing where the actors exit. (Hoping to do the same thing in May for Daniel, Marin, Ruthie and Conrad, if he's still there)

During my stage door experience, half the cast did not use the natural glass barricade even though some of us were lined up there, as that is more of an exit ramp. Some did sign down the line though, like Ruthie Anne Miles and Kelli O'Hara. They stopped for photos if you asked.
Others, like Hoon Lee, turned out the other way and congregated in huddles to chat with each other and fans, which was really cool cuz it gave it a relaxed atmosphere, but made it awkward for me as I had to interrupt them for autographs.
The little princes and princesses came out in a huge gaggle and promptly left without doing any SD activity (they're so cute!).
FYI I went during a Sunday matinee during the fall, probably waited around 15-20 min and it wasn't particularly crowded.

What show is coming in next at the Beaumont? I had heard something about a musical version of Gone With The Wind that was being worked on in Santa Fe. They were trying to get it down to 4 hours.

The mom of one of the Matildas told us once that the children are not allowed to sign. Apparently they are allowed to chatter on about their plans for Easter, though, because that's what happened with us (Matilda quickly bonded with my then 12-year-old daughter). It was pretty adorable.

Doesn't seem like the Beaumont's next tenant is immediately known. Either way, DOWN to four hours? Lord, no thanks.
