this is actually a story about Jason Robert Brown...
i guess this is the story of his ex wife and him.. lol..
so it is supposedly based on his life, but of course changed cuz she would get mad.

As a married woman, no matter what, I cannot accept cheating once you exchanged vows. Once you cheat, you are labeled as a person you could cheat the next time, and the next time etc., so I'd say Jamie is to be blamed for the most of the part (but I agree that the relationship is built by two people, so it's not entirely Jamie's fault either).
Having said that, can I ask a question about "A Summer In Ohio"? In that song, Cathy says "He wants me, he watns me, but he ain't gonna get me," is she referring to "Richard"? Is she trying to make Jamie jealous? (in the production I saw, Cathy was writing a letter to Jamie about Ohio)

I think a lot of people think it is Jamie's fault because Cathy starts in such a hurt place that you feel for her right away.
I think it his but then again i have had similar problems as them so i am bias.

So I just don't think it was intended to make him jealous, bc she goes right on to say how wonderful he is, and how lucky she is to be with him.

It should also be mentioned:
Jamie doesn't necessarily have to cheat...he says, "come back to bed, kid. Take me inside you." There are a number of ways to get around that without having Jamie be cheating at that moment.
With that said, every divorce is both people's fault on some level...one level ma be deemed "more" than the other, but...it is still a two-way street.

I would have to agree whole heartedly 99% of the time both people are to blame on some level.. it takes two people to have a marriage and it's up to both of them to make it work.
