Posted: 11/6/05 at 11:12amLast night I saw the most amazing production of The Last Five Years starring our own bwaysinger. Needless to say, he brought a lot of NYC talent to Madison, Wisconsin and left 'em begging for more. You still have time to hop the shuttle and make his matinee performance...

That's so exciting for one of us!!! By the way, I found bwaysinger's bio at the Four Seasons Theatre website. He's got quite an impressive resume, and nice headshot! Congratulations, Eric!

Posted: 11/6/05 at 4:06pmI second that BT. Bwaysinger was fantastic! Our house was quite a bit small (on Thursday,) but I have been told by bwaysinger that the audience size has gotten bigger. This was a fantastic production and I pity those who have missed it. Madison finally got some great theatre, as opposed to the stinkers we have had in the past!

CONGRATULATIONS to Bwaysinger, and to the Four Seasons Theatre on a successful show!
I can't wait to hear all about it from the man of the hour.
Bway, hurry home!
New York misses you.

Now that Madison has taken notice, perhaps Broadway will soon?
Congrats to bway for what must have been an amazing set of performances. Quite jealous that BT got to see him perform this and that I didn't! But I heard he laughed, he cried, and it was WAY better than Cats....

Posted: 11/7/05 at 10:12amAmanda Poulson was a really fabulous Cathy - there are clips of her singing on their web site (http://www.fourseasonstheatre.com/). She sang the heck out of Climbing Uphill. Bway was really fabulous - a really engaging Jamie with amazing energy and a voice that really filled the house. His Schmuel song was great - I hope they recorded it for posterity. The orchestra really kicked butt and made it just the perfect evening (despite the torrential downpour). Sharing fondue with bway and the four seasons folks only made the evening more perfect! I'm hoping I won't have to travel quite so far to see Mr. Singer's next show ...

I can neither confirm nor deny rumors of those pesky recordings.
But a pajama party ought to do nicely.

Posted: 11/8/05 at 4:24pmI'm respectful when dealing with my elders. My favorite part of the evening was when he said I looked young. I'll be his biggest fan FOREVER!!!!!

Mr. Singer and Ms. Paulson need to perform the show here, I have cleared space in my living room and all is ready. (Honestly, it would be so sweet to somehow have a concert version in the city, come on Bwaysinger groupies and L5Ys devotees, between all of us we could fund a full production.
)
Bway's av is way cuter than his headshot, I love the floppy hair.
Congrats on what sounds like an amazing show.

Eww, my headshot. I was so much younger and fatter.
"I moved to the city and got 20 pounds thinner."
Anyway, Pengy, you have no idea how badly I want to get a "concert" version of our production up here in the city. There are no more than a handful of people I know of who can sing Cathy, let alone do it as well as that marvelous woman I had standing onstage with me every day.

I am in total agreement with you there, bway. She was awesome. I was a bit hesitant before the show because I have heard some people butcher Cathy, not the case in this show. Oh and you didn't do too bad yourself
