"The Life" by Cy Coleman. Anyone know where I can find pictures or clips of the show? Also...I'm looking for a place where I can find the script. Please let me know if you can help me out! Thanks
I saw the show when it first opened and got both recordings but I have never seen a published script. The only video I know of was the "My body" song done on the 1997 Tony awards.
THE LIFE was a problematic show with a long and somewhat meandering act one, but enough good moments to make up for the tedious stretches. It was better than JEKYLL AND HYDE but not as good as STEEL PIER or TITANIC.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
