Posted: 6/3/05 at 6:17pmI find that most sophisticated musical theatre is not composed by catchy melodies. Think about it. Guettel. Sondheim. Gordon. LaChiusa. Not always catchy at first. It requires that one listen several times before the score ingrains itself in your ear. I, personally, prefer that.
