I would like to start off by saying after seeing the show two times... my first time in Orchestra and my second time in Rear Mezzanine I can very safely say that The Little Mermaid is a show just put on for the Orchestra viewers. It was much less enjoyable from high up and not just because it was far back, because you were looking at wigs the whole time! Another thing, there is no leg room what so ever in the mezzanine!!

Ok, cast reviews!
Sierra Boggess- Fricken AMAZING!
Sean Palmer- Definitely one of his better performances!
Norm Lewis- Phenomenal as always
Alan Mingo Jr. (Sebastien Understudy)- Extremely good actor but he can't go as high at Tittuss which kind of ruined Under the Sea, but Kiss the Girl and If Only, OMG HE WAS AMAZING!
Jason Snow (Flotsam Understudy)- Quite Amazing, he was a lot like Tyler, it was actually kind of creepy!
Trevor Braun- WOW, this kid is amazing! After seeing both Brian and Trevor I have to say they are incomparable. Brian's voice is a little deeper and he uses some vibrato while Trevor has the higher kid voice, but they are both AMAZING!

Sherie Rene Scott- If you are wondering why I saved her for last, it is not because she was the best, it's actually because I disliked her performance the most. She came on stage and got no entrance applause, which made me kind of feel bad for her. But, her singing just sounded worn out and boring. I thought it may be because the first time I saw the show, I saw Cicily Daniels as Ursula who was amazing all around, but once I heard people saying after the show that they were disappointed with Ursula and thought she would be better I knew it wasn't just me.

I was not as lucky with the children situation in the theatre this time...
there was this little girl behind me who kept comparing the show to the movie and repeatedly said "Ariel can't talk!" during 'Beyond my Wildest Dreams' and 'If Only', she also kept asking questions hoping someone around her would answer, I finally turned around and answered some out of frustration.

P.S. I didn't stage door this time, I already have all the auto-graphs I want.

WHOA, totally forgot Derrick Baskin! This man was amazing as always!

Goodbye

I saw the show on Friday and I wasn't expecting much. I was surprised to see that the show is even worse than I had expected.

This little girl sitting few seats away from me said, "Why isn't she [Ariel] swimming?" That was cute.

Thanks for the review! I actually saw the show this evening and found the all around energy severely lacking. I know everyone in the ensemble is tired on a two show day but especially Sherie Rene seemed to be just going through the paces. It bummed me out because I am a big fan. Leads like Sierra, Norm and Alan Mingo Jr. (on for Sebastian) were really giving it their all and some of the ensemble dancers didn't even feel like smiling at points! I was shocked and bummed out. You really do see EVERYTHING in the second row It will interesting to see who re-signs.

Here's to hoping the cast finds some positivity or positooooovity...

I was at the evening show. I actually really liked it, which came to me as a surprise. I didn't get the lack of energy from many people, perhaps because I had seen worse. gottadance2, wasn't Sherie struggling towards the last note of "Poor Unfortunate Souls?"

The audience was the sh*ttiest audience I had ever witnessed.

Nobody's mentioning Eddie Korbich.

He was my favorite part of the show.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

The Lunt is also the worst theater that I have ever been in.
