Have Cody and J.J. left the cast? They are no longer in the Cast list on the website.
Also, does anybody happen to know how many wigs Sierra Boggess (Ariel) wears throughout the show? I'm just curious.

Posted: 1/18/08 at 6:14pmI think Sierra wears two or three wigs. The regular one, I don't know if the one she wears with the pink dress is a different one, and the one she wears during kiss the girl, the contest and the finale.

Thank you! I'm pretty sure the one with the pink bow in it (when she wears the pink dress) is it's own wig. I also just looked at the Disney Channel video, and there are three wigs there, and one of them has the pink bow in it. So that would make three total wigs!
Anybody able to answer the 'Flounder' question?

Went to the show last night--- Cody and J.J are no longer listed in the Playbill. (no longer with the cast)
Brian was Flounder last night, and was very good !!! Excellent voice. Trevor has the cuteness factor, but not as sound with the vocals !!

Posted: 1/18/08 at 9:02pmI had a general and completely random question. About how many other Mermaids do you see in the show? All the videos only really ever show Ariel. Do they pull off the look as well as Sierra does?

you can see some of them in that video here on b'way world of opening night during the curtain call. They're pretty interesting. The only other mermaids are her sisters and they have like goofy hair and their tails are dif colors-same design though. And their shell-bra things are all different kinds of shells. And the mermaids are all different sizes, too. One of them wears like this flow-y almost see through thing that comes down from her shells because she isn't as slim as the others so it covers her up more.
I liked em =]

Little Mermaid Question:
Why doesn't Ariel just write Prince Eric a note explaining who she is and what she is doing...?
...clearly she can write, she signed her name to the contract.

Posted: 1/18/08 at 11:01pmWell telling Eric that she is the daughter of Triton and was turned into a human by an evil squid and that her best friend is a fish and she is babysat by a crab would only result in her being committed into an institution. I guess Eric has to see it to believe it for it all to work.

The "sneak peek" video shows Ariel's sisters. Check it out:

Posted: 1/19/08 at 1:08amI'm thinking three wigs, too. Any verification on this would be appreciated. TWSFan4Ever, where did you see three wigs?

Yesterday, on the Disney Channel, "Disney 365" went backstage with "Mermaid"
Definitely looked like 3 wigs.

I thought so. And then there is another wig for the double (when Eric is drowning and for the transformation).
Does Prince Eric just have one wig (with the blue ribbon)? Or does he have changing ribbon colors? And then another for the double (when Eric is drowning).

testing, did you see in the playbill if they already have the days when brian and trevor are having their performances each week?. i am glad you had a wondeful time at the show. i saw the disney 365...it was good but too short. but loved seeing jj and cody. i hated the guy mike in disney 365, but loved seeing emily osmont touring backstage with him. they def need to make their backstage tours a little longer.
its nice reading a fantastic review of brian as flounder....i hope i get to see him when i am going.

Posted: 1/19/08 at 1:43pmThe wig on Ariel's double is different. It doesn't have bangs so you can't see it's not Sierra

Posted: 1/19/08 at 1:43pmThe wig on Ariel's double is different. It doesn't have bangs so you can't see it's not Sierra, but it's so obvious
#17re: 'The Little Mermaid' Questions
Posted: 1/19/08 at 2:10pmWouldn't not having bangs reveal that it isn't Sierra even more?
#18re: 'The Little Mermaid' Questions
Posted: 1/19/08 at 3:56pmI mean Sierra's bangs still show her face but the double's wig covers more of her face you can't really see her

Question.
Was Brian just in Les Miserables as Gavroche?
Also, They don't tell you what days the two Flounders are going on. They treat it as if it were an understudy and put a slip in the playbill.
Thats how they do it at Poppins as well.
The slip in Poppins says that the Banks children are played by two different sets of rotating actors and then it goes on to tell you who is in the cast tonight.

Thanks, lois128!
winston89, there are three sets of Banks children.
#21re: 'The Little Mermaid' Questions
Posted: 1/19/08 at 6:48pmNope -- I didnt see the particular dates listed yet (as far as a sset schedule for the Flounders). As a matter of fact, the "cast board" in the main lobby didnt even say which boy was going on until almost 7, I believe !!
#22re: 'The Little Mermaid' Questions
Posted: 1/19/08 at 7:46pmSo do they just put a slip in the Playbill (like they do for Mary Poppins) to let people know who will be Flounder at the performance (along with being on the "cast board").
#23re: 'The Little Mermaid' Questions
Posted: 1/19/08 at 7:52pmYes, there is a slip in the Playbill.
