Saw it last night and have to say it was a bit of a letdown after all the hype.
The whole reason to see it is Linda Lavin & Dick Latessa. The first act was great. The second act is out of the hospital room & is the weakest part. Had it stayed in the room, it would have been much better. The supporting cast was ok especially Brenda Pressley as a nurse.
We saw it on TDF & got 3 rd row orchestra on the aisle, Not good for a show that just opened with a lot of hype. About 1/2 the balcony & 1/2 the mezzanine were empty & this on a Saturday night.
I do not see this lasting much longer. A Best Play nomination would have helped but without it they seem to be on borrowed time. It was a good show but not great.

My heart is palpitating with joy over the fact that Roxy had good seats for this play. I mean, 3rd row in the orchestra isn't anything to sneeze at.
I'm impressed beyond words.
I am so happy you are happy I could plotz.
