Has anyone see the movie preview for the NEW movie? It seems pretty good and its in English, do you think it will come to the U.S. ?

Ive seen the trailers, and they are exactly what I've always imagined a good film version should be. I'm terribly excited about this movie, and I certainly hope it makes it here

I know right !!! It looks so good, I hope they decided to bring it here cause it is actually stunning.

It seems rather up in the air as to whether it'll make it to the US, but I can't see why PBS or Bravo can't pick it up or something.

I just watched the trailer. It looks good! I really hope it makes it to the US.

I haven't seen the preview, but it's my favorite opera, and I love the Ingmar Bergman film version of it as well. The best filmed opera though is Franco Zefferelli's La Traviata with Teresa Stratas and Placido Domingo.

The best filmed operas are Peter Sellars' Mozart/DaPonte trilogy

I had no idea this was being made. I love the Magic Flute though; I'm thinking of seeing it at the Met next season.

My problem is that I can't stand Kenneth Branaugh's directing...
