Every once in a while I hear a rumor about it, but still nothing has come to fruition. Same with the movie.

Denny had an earlier show that told the story of The Mamas and the Papas. I never saw it, but I have the album. It's okay, but it doesn't hold a candle to the original music.

Well isn't "No one's getting fat except Mama Cass" a song that kinda explains them coming together?

It's actually called "Creeque Alley" and it does indeed tell the tale of how they came to be, albeit in about three minutes and without most of their internal drama. It's one of their best songs.
