The Melissa Erico curse??

First Amour then Dracula, it seems weird. She's a very talented lady yet her shows seem to not do well.

Could Melissa Errico be the next Macb&th?

re: The Melissa Erico curse??

Considering how many shows flop, I'm sure many actors can claim to be victims of the same "curse."

re: The Melissa Erico curse??

Remember that until Wicked, Kristin Chenoweth never had a hit, but she was so spectacular in all those flops (Steel Pier, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Epic Proportions), plus did some very memorable Encores! work in Strike Up the Band and particularly On a Clear Day You Can See Forever that we just tend to forget. But Wicked was the first show she has been in that has run over a year. Same with Melissa Errico, except that we don't think of her the same way because she has not won oodles of awards for those flops, probably because they were so obscure they were just forgtten by awards season, since her work in One Touch of Venus, a triumph like no other. There is no Melissa Errico curse. Just bad timing and luck. Hopefully her luck will improve and give her a hit like One Touch of Venus.

Wasn't Melissa Ericco Eliza in a revival of My Fair Lady? That's what I read on IBDB.

She was in MY FAIR LADY, and it was quite successful.

the Irish Rep production of Finian's Rainbow (altho' not on Broadway) was also quite successful in it's limited run, wasn't it?

I saw her in "Anna Karenina the musical" with Ann Crumb.

i'm sure it's not just her. she just needs to find a hit show. alot of broadway stars have been in flops.

re: The Melissa Erico curse??

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that remembers "Anna Karenina." Errico was the only shimmer of light in that production. (If we don't count the headlight of the offstage train...)

Are we counting television shows as well? "Central Park South" was cancelled mid season.
