Didn't I read somewhere that Marcia Gay Harden DID read/ audition for the part? This might have been when the producers were considering an alternate matinee cast which didn't happen.

I would actually love to see Sharon Stone do this role one day.

Marcia Gay Harden, all the way baby...and what if Ed Harris went along with her as George???
Ed was rumored for the role some time ago with JEssica Lange. But he and Marcia had such terrific chemistry in Pollock.
Not that I wouldn't LOVE to see Ms. Lange in this role... went to a seminar she spoke at last week on Williams... what an INTENSE woman.
