Has anyone heard about any plans to bring this to North America? I suspect it may be more off Broadway but hell Starcatchers also transferred. It ran in the West End and is now touring around the country to a fair bit of a claim.
It is not a kids show tho so that could be a problem with a transfer as Gaiman is so associated w Kid books ( yes I know Sandman et al)
Anyone?

One of the best things I’ve seen in years! But I don’t think it will transfer here. Certainly ain’t off Broadway with the current production’s budget.
And I don’t think anyone would say Gaiman is “kids.” Definitely writes in a young adult nostalgia meant for adults (he is very much found in the YA section in book stores) but calling him a kid’s writer would over-simply his work greatly.

No insider knowledge, but I could definitely see this coming to Broadway (though probably one of the smaller houses). Saw it on the West End and it was a gorgeous production. I don't know if Neil Gaiman would be a huge draw, but he's definitely floating around in the public consciousness with Good Omens (season 2 is dropping in a couple months), Sandman, and American Gods all being popular TV shows. I feel like his main kids book was just Coraline (though I know there are some others), and the rest are geared towards YA at least if not older.

I haven't seen the production (much to my regret), so if I'm missing something here, please tell me. But it seems to me that being at a non-Broadway venue doesn't necessarily preclude a larger budget. Is there any reason it couldn't go to a venue like St. Ann's, The Armory, The Shed, etc? Some of the productions that go there have pretty large budgets/production values.
