Hey Kids!
chitownbob and I have decided to throw a Tony awards party to celebrate a) the season, and b)because we're joyous dorks. SO, we've come up with a few ideas for what to have/do:
[Anyone got more suggestions? We'd appreciate them.]
Light on the Pizza
Erin Dill-y Pickles
Toot Sweets (OR whistle pops, whatever.)
Spam (duh)
Christina Apple-tini
Kathleen Turn-overs
Tim Curry-something????
Sherry (as in Sherrie Rene Scott)
Robert Ghoulash
We thought of trying to use Frommage and La Cage...
and need a way to work in Spelling Bee....
and apparently, I -being the world class chef that I am (right.)- am going to make a massive cake that encompasses the whole season. Somehow...
Throw out ideas, have your own parties!!!:)

Hey, thats not that bad.
We were going to try and serve Sex on the [Gary] Beach, but it just sounded a little wrong...:)

I think the Christina Apple-tinis and Gary Sex on the Beaches are genious...
I need to work in the people I wish had been nominated...what beverages can I make out of the names Goldblum and Borle??
I can serve D'Amboise Framboise...

NBC~
I, too, was trying to use Borle..
Bananas (Sutton) Foster?
We're also thinking of goody bags with compliation CDs for the guests. Now, in a perfect world we can find lil trash bags to represent Brooklyn. Who knows?
For my massive cake, I'm thinking of hunting down those Legos that are little Knights:)

How about a Borlermaker?
Boilermaker
1 shot blended whiskey
1 mug of beer
The method of drinking varies. Some shoot the whiskey straight and use the beer as a chaser. Others pour the two together and drink it. A "Depth Charge" occurs when you drop the shotglass into the beer glass and down the drink all at once.

Well, for Spelling Bee I think you must include juice boxes.
You can serve Nacho Chips Tollentino, or work in olives somewhere...
re: The Official 'Throwing a Tony Party' thread#12
Posted: 5/10/05 at 2:08pmYou can also have alphabet soup (love Campbells's) or that chefboyrdee w/ alphabets. those are hard to eat in a party setting though.

Oh, I like the Olive idea.
We were going with the PB&J, Red Apple and juice boxes thing until Craig was a genius.

You could do DRS Milkshakes. Ou, I need a life. You could do loads of things from DRS, actually. Well, a few. Chocolate with nugget (Uhm is tha thow you spell it?), beef jerky (Ew, but some people like it). UHM, what else in the Rupricht (Didn't spell that right) song?
Edit: I'm entirely too lazy to go redo my mistakes, shhh.
