Adam's Slow Love

I know what you mean. Well, we'll have to do our best.

ETA: Elphie, it's probably not nearly as bad as you're making out. There's nothing wrong with how you communicate on the board.

Adam's Slow Lovin'

What do you have to write about that you get only eight lines for?
#10653

Adam's Slow Lovin'

If I were you I'd cut down on the number of things you like about it so as to expand a little on the ones you include. Choose the most important ones or the ones you feel you can explain the best.

Adam's Slow Lovin'

You can do it. Maybe you should write out everything you want to say, then cut what's really not so important and think about the most concise way to say what's left. Put subsidiary ideas into subordinate clauses instead of giving them a whole sentence and use as few adjectives and adverbs as possible by choosing nouns and verbs that are very specific. (Sorry if I'm telling you a bunch of stuff you've already tried!)

chocolate!

Awwww...for a split second I thought I could find someone in another school that could commiserate with the trials and tribulations that I endure. It just had to be the good old, collateral loving, Founder's Day celebrating, Japanese consulate appreciating high school. chocolate!

*ponders* there are only about what, 10 boys in my grade...who could it be?

Yes, in fact I'm doing my Physics collateral right now.

Jake Gyllenhaal!

Dear me you people have chatted up the pages (which I won't read because of my laziness). Jake Gyllenhaal!

Jake Gyllenhaal!

Yeah, the New Yorkers have such a distinctive accent, it's a bit funny. But then, I shouldn't be talking, the Bostonians are about five times worse.

Heh, and I type 'colour' with a 'u', although I have no accent whatsoever. Jake Gyllenhaal!

Wow, I haven't been posting much. Shame on me.

Hmm, Allie, do you have a bike...or...anything? Or anyone to help you carry groceries? Bitter Single People Sing Along

Bitter Single People Sing Along

I am absolutely JEALOUS of people with a Wal-Mart near by. The closest one to my house is about 50 miles away, and I'd rather not make the commute. In this small town I live in, we have two designer stores, and going into Boston is even worse. We have Bebes and the Chanelles and Gucci and all that crap. That's why I make the trips to the thrift shop a couple towns down. You can get jeans for 5 bucks, and no worries about shrinking, since they've already been washed. Bitter Single People Sing Along

Bitter Single People Sing Along

For as long as I've been in school, they've given out numbers and letters. But the good thing with numbers is that you can just figure out the letter grade you'd get. For example, a 92% = A-. I haven't progressed very far in middle school, but so far it's been A's and A+'s.

And like BG, I'm also never good enough for myself. And it drives me insane. But my father has drilled the idea in my head that if I don't get 100s every time, I'm a complete failure. And yet my mother is the complete opposite. Although both got incredibly good grades in school, my mom thinks that grades don't matter as long as you learn, you understand the material, and try your best. So I break down all the time for not having a perfect result.

"I am a size 00-0 SHORT!"
Me too!
Except...my mom hems all my clothing. So I consider myself lucky. Bitter Single People Sing Along

And whoever said that thing about Dora embroidered on their pants...I agree completely. I would still be shopping in the girls section because it fits me better, but you either have a choice of the Disney Princesses, or having ANGEL or FOXY, or DADDY'S GIRL plastered all over your clothing. It's a terrible thing, really.

Thank God For Adam

It would just be ramblings if it were only Adam and Anthony. Not that I wouldn't love to hear that.

Thank God For Adam

That's a funny yet odd thought. I hope that they didn't really bring a pen and paper. They're being so literal!
