Yes,I did. He was in PHANTOM as Rauol, then also he briefly played THE PHANTOM as well, & I saw him in that role as well
Just a beautiful voice
That's true!
I only have the CD with him as Raoul and it is really great.
I'm sorry for my mistakes, but it is long time ago that I wrote something in English.

I was just in Germany & wish I was well versed in the German Language. I saw "MIZ" sung in German, I LOVED it
I know Steve worked a lot in Europe, I wish he had been here in NY a bit more. It was interesting seeing him play THE PHANTOM after having seen him play Raoul so often

I LOVE Vienna, beautiful beautiful City
we will be in touch
I saw him in The Red Shoes & he was quite good
@Mr Roxy: You saw him in The Red Shoes? Do have a picture-or cast book?
The show lasted 5 performances & doubt they ever printed one up . Sorry
Thank you for the Info. How was the play?
I remember the show as being average . Not great but not bad. The Red Shoes ballet is now a permanent part of some ballet companies reportory. Barton had a few songs but sang the hell out of them as I recall. The last Jule Styne show ( I believe ) & never recorded . The lyrics were by Bob Merrill under an alias Paul Stryker . Another Styne score never recorded was " Look To The Lillies" . As I recall, there was a ton of music written for it with much being thrown out during previews. Originally was to be a vehicle for Sammy Davis Jr who wanted the than unheard of sum of $ 10 K a week. It would have ran with him & Shirley Booth in it. Al Freeman Jr was not a draw & was, from what I understand making a pain in the you know what out of himself during the rehearsal & preview period.
Thank you for the report!
