Sorry if this was done before I got here, but are there any songs from a musical that aren't really popular, but are your favorite (i.e. something like Stonecutters Cut It On Stone from Carousel)? This came to mind because I just found my Hello Dolly! revival cast recording after a three year absence and I love 'Motherhood' for some odd reason.
There are so many, but here are a few that floated to the top of my head.
"Funeral: There is a fountain/It Dont Make Sense"
Parade
"The Lights of Broadway"
The Wild Party
"Learning to Be Silent"
Footloose
Learning to Be Silent? Isn't that with Dee Hoty? If so, then awesomeness, I say.
Yup. Its a beatiful song, but not one of the so called "memorable" tunes from the show. May be because it isnt an energetic dance number with teenagers everywhere like the majority of the score. Its a well-sung piece.
