Is there going to be a record released with the current cast of "The Pajama Game"? I have been really interested in this musical and I didn't want to buy the OBCR if the new broadway cast album would be coming out soon...

Yes, it was recorded within the past couple weeks, for a release in May, or, sometime before the show closes.

yup- I asked the salesman at the theatre and he said it was rumored to come out around May...but we all know how rumors work out.

I asked the nice merchandise salesman tonight about the recording and he said it was currently in production and slated for a release the first week of May...

We'll see if that turns out to be true...just thought I'd update the rumor status to "a bit more than a rumor" status.

PS> the show is in great shape. I saw it early in previews and was impressed with some of the subtle changes that were made by the cast especially Kelli and Roz. Harry still overdoes his "angry" scenes...but everyone is having a damn good time on that stage...I guess that's what counts when you've already got a sold out show on your hands.
