The Phantom Of The Opera 5/30/08 Review

I saw The phantom of the opera last night. I have to say the best thing in the show is the music. The standout roles were John Cudia (Phantom), Jennifer Hope Wills (Christine), and Patricia Phillips (Carlotta). Other then that the only time the show was interesting was when the phantom was on stage. The show is still tight after 20 years. No one looks like they are phoning in a performance. I just thought it the show was a little slow moving. But I did enjoy it.

I saw Phantom my junior year of high school and missed John Cudia as Raoul. I did see him at Bryant Park though, and I really want to see his Phantom. Glad you enjoyed it!

John Cudia is one of the best Phantoms out there. Certainly the best that I've seen...saw him on the national tour & I hope to catch him on Broadway too!

dramagirl, is she friends with your music teacher that thinks Sondheim doesn't write any melodic music?
