Ok so my friend and I want BADLY to see The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, so I checked the prices, and we want the good seats, and those seats are 120 dollars. Is there any place or any way I can get good seats for less than 120?
Thanks!

Posted: 1/3/05 at 7:10pmwell u can always stand in line at the tkts booth in the center of times square, get in line about 1:00 or 1:30, it opens at 3:00, phantom is always on there, and you should get pretty good seats.

Yup...broadwaybox.com is a nice resource. Plus Season of Savings that was just announced always has discounts for POTO.
Enjoy the show! :)

Posted: 1/3/05 at 9:47pmoh! standing room is...well...you stand for the whole show, but the tickets are usually around 20 bucks. It depends on the theater, but the "seats" are usually in the back of the theater behind the orchestra. I've only done SRO for Rent and I really really liked it!

Posted: 1/3/05 at 9:53pmTo bad you just started looking. They had an offer going for the orchestra for half price that ended on the 24th. But try broadwaybox and tkts.

Posted: 1/3/05 at 10:08pmhmm standing room huh....is it not uncomfortable to stand for the WHOLE show though?

Yeah maybe, but you'll be so distracted by the quality of the show (hopefully) and shifting from foot to foot so you shouldn't feel it.
Actually, 2.5 hrs isn't so bad. Just think of how much time you spend standing and walking around when you shop!

yeah it's kind of uncomfortable but hey...it's twenty bucks...
I'm wondering if you will miss anything because of all the theatrics that go on in phantom...i had forgotten that I also saw Moving out SRO, and I couldn't see the band at all because they were raised up over the dancers...
but again...twenty bucks...
