The Pillowman Question
#0The Pillowman Question
Posted: 9/8/06 at 10:00pmI'm in NFL [Speech and Debate] and was wondering if it would be appropriate to do a monologue from the Pillowman for a Dramatic Interpretation. I haven't read the script yet and am planning to buy it if I think I can do a speech from it. I know it's about strong material, but would it be appropriate for the judges to hear [i.e. the parents of other speech kids]? Please let me know so that I can order the script promptly if need be!

The only long monologues are actual stories Katurian tells.
So if you want to tell some interesting, and gory, stories - then it is perfect.
I recommend you getting it anyway. It's a fantastic read.

Yes, I figured that'd be the common response.

GRUESOME, like whoa, though. I was frightened.
