The Play That Goes Wrong Rush Tickets

I plan on rushing the show next week. The rush is still random? The box office cant tell you what kind of seat you'll get? also how is the view from the $30 balcony seats?

Walked up to the box office yesterday (Sunday) at 12:30 PM and got 3 rush tickets to the evening show: Row H Seats 10, 12, and 14. Great seats for the price.

Ugh - I was debating between purchasing through TDF and rushing, but now TDF has no availability for tomorrow when I was planning to go. I can't get in to the city until later in the day so I don't think rush is a good option. I guess I'll just cross my fingers that TDF puts it back up.

I appreciate everyone's comments and insights! Here's my experience from this morning:

Rushed today (Saturday) before 8AM and was first in line. Second person came 8:25AM. Everyone else trickled from 9AM and on. By the time it was 10AM, there was about 10 people in line.

Box office personnel said all GR tix were partial view and for full view I had to purchase balcony seats. (I don't know if this applies all the time, but that was the case for today.)

I got the GR tix: Orch Row F, Seats 9 and 11.

Anybody rush lately? What time did you go and what seats you got?

Planning to go next week before it closes

I rushed this morning. I got to the box office around 11:15am. I was told that all rush tickets were full view, but that they could not tell me where they would be. I was so happy to hear they were all full view, that I didn't really care where they seated me. Even better, my ticket ended up being ORCH A 103.

I went to line up this morning, and was told that all Rush tickets from now on are Mezz, with partial views. Not sure if it's worth it for $45.

Balcony seats with full view are still available for $30

White haired lady at the box office was VERY VERY RUDE! angry

Has anyone rushed this show since it moved to the New World Stage. I heard Avenue Q was an easy rush, but maybe it was just because it has been playing for so long.

It wasn't particularly hard during 20@20 (the show I went to during the week didn't even sell out), so I can't imagine regular rush would be all that difficult either.

I rushed last july, got there after an other Rush around 10:15 and got 1 rush ticket Side orchestra by the aisle. I have never had any trouble getting Rush tickets for any shows at New world stage, Maybe I was just lucky.

What other shows did you rush at New World Stage?

I rushed at NWS on the July 5, showed up about half an hour before the box office opened and got 5 tickets (I was with two other friends). I also rushed Jersey Boys around 5pm the day after and was able to get two tickets with no issues. Rock of Ages seems to be particularly popular (if 20@20 is anything to go by) but the other two shows don't seem very hard to get. The main thing to remember is that the box office opens at noon most days and they only take cash for rush.
