Welcome to The Producer's Game!
Imagine this - an investor just gave you 500k to bankroll a few Broadway shows. But there's a hitch, you have to decide which productions are worthy of your money. However, there is one stipulation. The investor wants 250k to be designated for Plays and 250k to be designated for musicals. Within those confines, you can designate the money to as many (or few shows) that you'd like.
Let's assume that investment units in each show are 25k. I can't publish exact budgets, but take your best guess as to what they may be. You may only list shows that have not yet begun performances on Broadway (and will open this season). Please include two separate lists within your post, one for plays and one for musicals. As plays often have limited runs and smaller budgets, we will find out much quicker which shows recoup. It will be a longer process to determine the musical results.
One person will be crowned the winner of The Producer's Game. There will also be a second and third place. Prizes will be distributed (TBD). I will keep a running tally of who's in what place, and the goal is to make as much money possible.
*Bonus: If you signed up for the game on 2/2, you received an extra 25k for each category. Unfortunately as this offer has now expired, any new entries posted that contain extra money will be disqualified.
*For each Tony nomination your show receives, you will be awarded 5k towards your total profit (and therefore increase your standing in the game). Each Tony win will give you 10k.
