Happy to report that this production is in AMAZING shape out on tour. What a joy to see this after seeing the Canadian production. Its a whole different show. The entire cast is perfection. Lee Roy Reams steals the show for me. My eyes could not be taken off of him. I even caught many "behind the scene/inside jokes" that he has with other cast members that the audience really wouldnt notice. I was having fun watchin him and you could tell that he is having a blast in this role. The tour ends Jan 30th. He needs to begin broadway Feb 1st! Everyone else is awesome and would take up too much posting space talking about everyone. I also want to say that while they are in between a cast change for Leo, it is in very very good hands with understudy Patrick Boyd. Very fine job he is doing. (Harry Bouvy, I believe, will be playing Leo Saturday/Sunday). I heard many audience members saying Lewis J Stadlen and Patrick Boyd were just as good as Nathan and Matthew. Any else catch this tour and agree?

Yes i almsot agree lewis is a wonderful actor, but on some of the joke lines he has it seems like he stops waits and delivers, it doesnt seem to flow like it should.

I saw the tour, and according to the website, Hunter Foster and Alan Ruck are doing a switch - Ruck will go to Broadway (yay!) and Foster will go on tour. As for Lewis Stadlen, I didn't care for his voice at all (on the raspy side), but I got used to it and he was funny in the part. I never saw Nathan as Max, but I've seen him act on TV and see that he has this unique quality in him that no other actor can imitate, in my opinion, so I wouldn't exactly say Lewis Stadlen is better.

Overall, I have to agree that the tour is amazing. Everything -the set, the costumes, the lights, the songs, the choreography, the actors- it was all fantastic. I would recommend this show to anyone. Glad you enjoyed the show! re: The Producers (Max) tour......

I didnt say he was better. I said audience members felt as though his overall performance was just as good.

The show is coming to an end, Jan 30th.

Yes, I understand that.

I didn't realize at first it was closing January 30th. I thought sometime in June, like the Leo tour.

Where did you sit when you saw it?

There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

Patrick Boyd is awesome! As much as I love Hunter in the role, I'm kind of sad that more people won't get to see Patrick for the last couple of weeks of the tour. They were in Grease! together... Patrick mooned the audience during Hunter's song. re: The Producers (Max) tour......

I wasn't crazy about Lewis J. Stadlen, but I never saw Nathan so I can't compare. Lee Roy Reams definitely stole all of the scenes he was in!
