Margo, perhaps you can clarify. What is the reasoning behind Piazza becoming eligible just this year when it had two productions (Seattle and Chicago) the year before?

I do not presume to speak for Margo.

However, from the website

I offer this short quote:

"PULITZER PRIZE
In Drama
...
ENTRIES FOR THE AWARD
U.S. productions opening between March 2, 2005 and December 31, 2005 are eligible."

I do believe the Broadway production of Piazza would be considered an original production as the show changed and evolved throughout its production history.
