"Do I have a right to be irked? Should I blow it off tomorrow?"
Yes. No.
I'd be irked too, but that doesn't mean you should blow off hanging out with your friends if you do this X-Mas/New Years thing every year. Just tell the person that seems to have taken it into their hands that you don't appreciate them doing that and it feels like they went behind your back about it when it was YOUR thing to organize in the first place.
And yes, that's a very good avatar.
RIP Jerry.

"TG - I LOVE Dirty Dancing! (Although that "baby" line is still stupid.)"
It may be stupid, but it's the most remembered line from that movie.
Hehe.

"Boy will he be missed - i think he was in his prime - especially for good film roles...."
Definitely. A friend of mine said she was listening to him singing 'Razzle, Dazzle' from Chicago last night and was wondering when he'd be back on Broadway... and yeah, it's another underwritten role but he would have made an awesome Wizard in Wicked.

"he was in beauty and the beast?"
He did the voice and singing for Lumiere (the candle) in the movie. :)

I have a fondness for A Fistful of Dollars because of the whole Back to the Future connection.

This is news?
When it comes to Mr. Wilson or Mr. Butz, you know I'll ditch out on you for them. Haha.

Fredi...
I apologize if this has already been asked, seeing as there are 451 pages of questions for me to go back and read. (I've gotten through about the first quarter)
But what was your offstage relationship with Idina like when you were in RENT? I mean- I know what it was like onstage- there had to be such chemistry... and I'm sure that if there wasn't, then Joanne and Maureen wouldn't have worked.
and What's your relationship like with her now? Does her becoming so successful and achieving near superstar status impede your relationship (or her relationship with her old [and actually some soon-to-be] castmates in any way?

oh and wow I forgot to mention how much of an inspiration you are... with your desire to share your talents and the things that bring you so much joy (art/artsed) with kids... that's the most important thing a person could do.

yeah I understand- I'm going to keep reading. But from what I am reading, I really think its amazing (your project that is, the one you were just talking about above- artsed school).
Really is the most important thing a person can do

Maureen - it's me , Joanne, your substitute production manager, Hey, hey, hey!

yeah, I've never put that line with Fat Albert either... not when you listen to the RENT soundtrack every day and hear it coming from Joanne- its funny actually, every time I saw that preview for the Fat Albert movie, and i would hear Hey Hey Hey! .. i would think in my head - Did you eat?
Is there anyway that I can just post and reply in this thread without it taking me back to the main board everytime? (sorry I'm a newbie, I have lots to learn)
Okay, so maybe you culturally-knowlegeable will have seen these movies-- any of you seen Tarnation?

Fredi- you still get contacted by fans? I remember the days when those girls had a fan club for you... Erin Laye I think was part of it and then started one for Idina
