Fredi... I apologize if this has already been asked, seeing as there are 451 pages of questions for me to go back and read. (I've gotten through about the first quarter)
But what was your offstage relationship with Idina like when you were in RENT? I mean- I know what it was like onstage- there had to be such chemistry... and I'm sure that if there wasn't, then Joanne and Maureen wouldn't have worked. and What's your relationship like with her now? Does her becoming so successful and achieving near superstar status impede your relationship (or her relationship with her old [and actually some soon-to-be] castmates in any way?
oh and wow I forgot to mention how much of an inspiration you are... with your desire to share your talents and the things that bring you so much joy (art/artsed) with kids... that's the most important thing a person could do.
yeah I understand- I'm going to keep reading. But from what I am reading, I really think its amazing (your project that is, the one you were just talking about above- artsed school).
Really is the most important thing a person can do
Maureen - it's me , Joanne, your substitute production manager, Hey, hey, hey!
man, I'm gonna change that... I don't want people to think I have a fat albert quote on my prof (no offense to Kenan, I think hes a comedic genius - sometimes)
yeah, I've never put that line with Fat Albert either... not when you listen to the RENT soundtrack every day and hear it coming from Joanne- its funny actually, every time I saw that preview for the Fat Albert movie, and i would hear Hey Hey Hey! .. i would think in my head - Did you eat?
Is there anyway that I can just post and reply in this thread without it taking me back to the main board everytime? (sorry I'm a newbie, I have lots to learn)
Okay, so maybe you culturally-knowlegeable will have seen these movies-- any of you seen Tarnation?
Fredi- you still get contacted by fans? I remember the days when those girls had a fan club for you... Erin Laye I think was part of it and then started one for Idina
okay, well its a movie... kinda an Indie film, but gotten pretty big (AFI named its release as one of the top 10 events of 2004 (along with big things like the retirement of Brokaw)..
anyway, its about a boy who's documented his real life (though it's getting more like fiction.. haha I crack MYself up) since he was 11... he had a bipolar mother and a very troubled childhood, and finally hes taken this footage and adapted it into a movie.
Anyway, my fist Cousin is a film editor... and he's becoming so successful- so I'm very proud- but yeah so he edited this movie, Tarnation... so I'm trying to promote it for him
(sorry if that was like an Ad)
But, he also edited the movie the Woodsman... which I guess youve probably heard of (Kevin Bacon's new movie)
oooh wow this is cool. I IMDBed my cousin ... and hes done alot more than I knew... like The Laramie Project (The Matthew Sheperd Story), Beavis and Butthead Do America (That's one to be proud of), and Lackawanna Blues (that's George C. Wolfe's'/Halle Berry's project)
I love IMDB... and google.... cause it led Fredi to us!
ok someone teach newbie how this works, Fredi gets off, and we can stay on and talk right? and then she gets back on... ? when? just sometime tomororw?
aaww.. i really like it here and you guys- thought I came just for Fredi I won't come back just for Fredi!! and i hope you guys like me (let me know if I'm doing something wrong, I have no idea what I'm doing)...
but seeing that I did get diagnosed with pneumonia a few days ago, sleep calls.
Did you guys know that there is a line of frozen-dinners (like lean cuisine) named Linda McArtney that Paul started and its vegitarian? I just ate some, and found that interesting
oh and I haven't read it all yet. I dont have that much time ... but I'm getting there. I'll let you know when Im done
"OK, i thought i hated the Wicked fans (the teeny bopper ones) but with what's goign on with idina and her last performance - i have a new hatred for them...." -BSoB
AGREED!! What is going on with that?! I respect Idina SO MUCh as an artist, she's amazing. But her fanbase consists almost totally of 12-15 year old girls who are OBSESSED with her.
To me she isn't the kind of person that is so appealing/attractive to "kids".
