YOU'RE ALL DONE WITH THE RUN OF THE RACE
FOR TODAY
YOU'VE GOT PLENTY OF RUNNING TO FACE
COME TOMORROW!
I love that song.

Great memories of the original 1976 production on Broadway-- Barry Bostwick and Patty LuPone, incredible onstage musicians playing their fiddlin' hearts out, gorgeous Doug Schmidt unit set of a barn interior covered in a Grandma Moses painting of the Natchez Trace landscape. Great funny sad music all evening long.
Why hasn't there been a full-scale revival of this show on Broadway in all these years?
