I've been fortunate enough to appear in two different regional productions of The Secret Garden and I think it's one of the most hauntingly beautiful shows ever written.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

And the haunting aspect that the composers add to the show makes the lovely piece of literature come to life in an even lovlier way!

I've done the show twice as well. Unfortunately, for me, it's lessened with familiarity. Too many holes, too random a tone, too many scenes that don't do anything. The good parts are undercut by pointless and clumsy book writing.

OK, BG2, we're all dying to know---how was Mercutio's performance in Les Miz??

My favorite memory of Secret Garden is a production of it I saw where the entire backdrop collapsed on the two gentlemen singing "Lily's Eyes." It was wickedly funny. :)

And on the subject of *cough*bootlegs...I am sure that none of the good honest people here on this board, myself included, would EVER listen to bootlegs. Only criminals and degenerates indulge in such illegal behavior. That said, I'm currently listening to "And Eve was Weak" from Carrie on my IPOD.:) God bless the b-leg!

There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

Lorings,
Mercutio has a VERY good voice. It definately sounds a lot more developed than you'd expect someone has age to be.

Definitely Broadway. London is not bad but cannot compete with Broadway. Quast's Archie is good, but Patinkin is good too. Westenberg's Neville is my favorite. London's Dickon is 10% good as Cameron Mitchell.
