I remember seeing this film at Radio City Music Hall when it first opened. I thought it was a beautiful film. I agree, Craig, the music is lovely.
Also, funny coincidence. After a visit to Austria in 2001, I was watching the DVD, and was surprised to see the Prince's castle was very familiar to me! The Hohenwerfen fortress (located about 20-30 miles south of Salzburg) had been used for the exteriers of the Princes castle. This same fortress had also been a major factor in the film Where Eagles Dare, and had been used as Snow White Memorial Prison in the miniseries 10th Kingdom.
