There's a hole in the world
Like a great black pit,
And its morals aren't worth
What a pig could spit,
And the vermin of the world inhabit it,
And it goes by the name of "London."
oops, I was beat to it.

I achieve my goals:
So unfazed am I
As my life unscrolls
Unamazed am I
Winning is a job
And I get no real enjoyment, but
je peux parler six langues
"I Speak Six Languages" from T25APCSB (that's so fun!)
In the wind, your flyin' mane
In my hand, your golden reign
Higher, higher, and never too high
and never enough
you know me cause I was your rider

"I miss the love and laughter..rippling and the tippling and Emily Bronte doing the twist with Kipling. Oh, I am homesick for my home sweet heaven."
If anybody gets that one, I owe you a dinner.
hypertruffle - some kind of parody of Unworthy of Your Love from one Forbidden Broadway or another, I'd guess 'Unworthy of Your Words'
if that's right, just let nmartin's be the next guess.
by the way, I have noooo idea what it is, lol
Home Sweet Heaven, from High Spirits
Boy, I haven't listened to that in ages. You've inspired me!

There you go, OurTime. Give a whirl.
nmartin, that was a TOUGHY. I spent the better part of the afternoon trying to figure out where I had heard it before. I had this vague image in my mind of two clownish performers in a revue kind of thing, and the sound was a little old, definitely from the analog-recording era. I recognized it, but nothing in my CD collection seemed to match up.
In the end, I took a trip to my father's place, where I leafed through his old records (which he holds onto even though he no longer has a working record player) and finally placed it:
You Can Always Catch Our Act at the Met, from Two on the Aisle.
Whew! OK, no more obscurities aimed just at me. I'm too obsessive!

"I put on her undies, her makeup and jewels,
slip into her nightgown and slap on the mules.
I guzzle her liquor, I eat all her food,
I cuddle her Tonys when I'm in the mood.
I stoll out of bed, I read all her mail,
I study her movements, every detail.
I wanna be ready for one day, perhaps,
I'll be waitin' in the wings when Ginger snaps!"

Home, the Wiz
Isn't this the height of nonchalance,
Furnishing a bed in restaurants?
Well, a bit of dinner never hurt,
But guess who is gonna be dessert?
"People can be hard sometimes
And their words can cut so deep
Choose the one yoy choose, love
And don't lose a moment's sleep"
Love Who You Love - "A Man of No Importance"
"I saw gray skies, foreboding and cold!
I saw gray skies and made them rain gold!
Now those skies aren't so bleak to behold!
They're still gray
But they pay
For your sal'ries tenfold!"

If I said I love him you might thing my words come cheap.
Let's just say I'm glad he's mine, awake, asleep.
It's been hot, also it's been swell. More than not, it's been more than words can tell. I halt I stammer, I sing a rondelay...

You're not to make a fuss
Love will happen later
That's how it was for us
Mother said he's wealthy
Be glad of what you get
Love will happen later
Not yet"
