Yea, about that Dre: see, this is a thread debating whether or not he may get a nomination. So obviously his conviction is going to "come up" in conversation.

But it's good to know you have such tolerance for child molesters.

Yeah, sorry, but Barbour's now in the same position as people like Michael Jackson where it's just going to come up in every conversation. Not all of us are so willing to overlook what he did.

"Do you think the Tony committee is really gonna nominate a pedophile?"

If the Committee is anything like the Academy...

well, if this is about his nomination, then talk about his performance. That is what the committee will be looking at, not his past.

It's not I accept what he did. not at all. But I'm trying to look past that and appreciate who he is as a performer, which I feel a lot of people should.

-Dre-
You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.

kinda the way i like to look past charlie manson's involvement in that sordid affair way back in the freakin' sixties and dig on the music he wrote, man.

why did the james barbour cross the road?

to nail the 15 year-old chick in the miniskirt that winked at him from the 4th row during the 2nd act.

We actually don't know that he's a pedophile... ah, screw it, I give up.

(after posting this thread)

BUSTOPHERPHANTOM: Hey. I didn't mention Barbour's "pedophile" status. Guess I just forgot. Oh well.

I believe Barbour is trying to clean himself up. Give the guy a chance: if he goes after someone else, THEN we can really go to town. But until then...
